Samsung Develops Largest Plastic TFT-LCD Display

Samsung has developed a new flexible LCD panel made from plastic. The LCD display measures 5 inches and weighs 0.8 ounces. LCD panels are traditionally made from glass and are not flexible. The new prototype can be bent and shaped into an infinite number of shapes.

The first anticipated products using the screens will be mobile phones and notebook PCs. However, the flexible LCD panel can be adapted to helmets, clothing and fashion accessories.
